So much truth in there Ellen! I used to look back at pictures from my school days and think, "I can't BELIEVE I thought I was fat!!" It's a shame what a struggle it is for girls.

Ugh!! Ok - stop being so friggin spot on. Yes yes and more yes. Very good points. All of them. "My headline". I like that. Great way to think about how you're going through life. I need to get back on track with my eating a little bit and I'd like to hit the gym a little more than we have been. That would make me happy(er). And if my body comes along for the ride - cool. If not, simply correcting those two things would help immensely with my mental state and my feeling of "lack of control" lately and that's probably more to the root of things. And I hear that big time, Lauren! I hope I don't come across to people like that scene from Mean Girls ("omg you're so pretty!"..."thank you"..."oh, so you think you're pretty??" or however it goes...lol) but I really tried to stop dismissing every time someone said something nice to me and just say "Thank you" now instead like you said.

You don't come across like that at all. There's often a huge difference between our inner dialog and external perceptions

P.S. It's nice to know that I am not alone in being so hard on myself and in the inner struggle with the perfection monster.

Tell me about it Lauren! I have to remind myself that not only am I not alone - but I have to make sure clients know the same thing. We often look at ourselves in a fishbowl under a magnifying glass and it's rough. I highly doubt anyone else really sees us that way - everyone's dealing with their own level of insecurities and too busy to be concerned with the things we imagine they are thinking about us. Lol. Here's to trying to "lighten up" in the upcoming weeks. Cheers!!

Truly refreshing to read that a lot of us have fallen off the beaten path a bit these past few weeks. My gym time has been lacking, but I put in a solid 40 minute run today to push the reset button. My ultimate fitness goal is to simply just be better today than I was the day before. As far as this week's challenge, I'm getting back to the roots of eating better and being more active. I've got fresh vegetables chopped up in tupperwear to knock out the challenge of 2 veggies with dinner. Actually going to do Cassandra one better by starting off dinner with a fresh summer salad for a total of 3 different vegetable servings for tonight's meal!

Ooooo, Brandon! Nice work! I love being "one-upped" in the veggie department. It is a work in progress. Getting fit and staying fit can sometimes be a struggle mostly, IMO, because it's not the norm for our country. And getting to a goal is a bit harder than a maintenance phase. We're all working on our weaknesses and I love that everyone can kinda take a breather for a minute. Everyone's doing great. Give yourself some slack. And get back on track. Good job everyone!!
